    Nucleus is available as a Quick Link on the MCRI Intranet home page or can be accessed via https://nucleus.mcri.edu.au.

    Chrome (by Google) is the recommended browser for Nucleus. Please use your MCRI username and password to login. Contact MCRI IT if you need to reset the password.

    Please refer to the below Offsite information if you are onsite using another network.

     

    Offsite

    If you are at home or offsite, you will need to connect to MCRI via VPN first using your computer or mobile device. If you have never used VPN at MCRI, click here to register for VPN access. For VPN instructions, refer to KB50236 for Windows, KB50232 for Mac or KB50234 for Linux.

    Chrome (by Google) is the preferred browser for Nucleus, so if you don’t have it installed on your home computer or mobile device, be sure to download and install it.

    Once you have established a VPN connection, access Nucleus via https://nucleus.mcri.edu.au.

    If you are prompted to login to Nucleus, please use your MCRI username and password.

  • The Employee Self- Service application will allow you to:

    • view/ update your personal information such as addresses and bank details (within “Personal Information” section)
    • view payroll information such as payslip, tax and superannuation (within “Payroll Information” section)
    • submit/cancel leave requests and view leave balances (within “Leave” section)
    • view additional assignment details and perform actions specific to each assignment (within “Assignment Details” section)
    • approve or reject requests (leave and staff movement processes) if you are a line manager or assigned as a substitute for a line manager (within “Workflow” section)
    • create and manage substitution (delegation) rules if you are a line manager to delegate your approval duties (for leave and staff movement processes)
    • submit staff change forms if assigned as a delegate
  • You will receive an email notification when the leave is approved or rejected. You can also view the status of your application by clicking “Leave Request Overview” within the “Leave” section.

  • Some information such as the details/changes in the Personal Information section is shared between assignments.

    Other information is specific to each assignment. You will be required to choose an assignment to view/ update information or submit requests.

    These include:

    • Viewing Payroll Information (within Assignment Details section)
    • Submitting / Cancelling Leave Requests and viewing Leave Balances (within Assignment Details section)

    Please note that delegates will not receive the contract extension/termination reminder notifications. These are sent 6-8 weeks prior to the staff's contract end date to the line manager.

  • Please use Chrome (by Google) as the browser to launch online content and always allow pop-ups from https://performancemanager10.successfactors.com.                                                                                          

    If the log in screen appears still then please ensure that 'Block third-party cookies' is disabled in Chrome Settings (at the top right corner, click on customise and control  > Settings > Advanced (at the bottom ) > Site Settings (within Privacy and security)> Cookies>  disable Block third-party cookies).

    Nucleus also times out after a period of inactivity. Close the browser window and re-launch Nucleus for the applications to function properly.

  • Yes, you can search for courses/workshops using the “Find Learning” tile and have them self-assigned.  Some workshops, however, will require one-up line manager approval to enrol.

  • The Manager Self-Service application will allow you to:

    •  view organisational data relating to direct reports
    •  view team calendars for attendance overview
    •  submit leave requests on behalf of direct reports
    •  submit staff change forms
  • Click here to delegate your leave and staff changes requests.

    Click here to delegate your Recruitment and Onboarding requests.

    Click here to delegate your Learning approval requests.

    Please note that delegates will not receive the contract extension/termination reminder notifications to initiate the requests in Nucleus. These are sent 6-8 weeks prior to their contract end date to the line manager.

  • If you have the authorisation to proxy as another user, you will see a “Proxy Now” option in the drop down list to the right of your name on the top right corner of the Talent Management  Home Page. Click on it and enter the name of the target user by clicking on the name from the predictive search result. Click here for more details.

  • Yes, while creating a new requisition, you will have the option to either use a blank template or copy an existing requisition to which you are associated. While copying requisitions, verify that all the information is correct or make changes specific to that position before it is submitted.

     

  • Click “Recruiting” from the Talent Management "Home" drop-down menu and select the requisition form. The task will also appear on your “To Do” tile on the Talent Management Home Page with a link to access the form.

  • Yes, if the requisition needs changes, you can mention the changes to be made in the “Comments” field and send it back to the previous approver in the workflow by clicking on the “Send back to..” button.

  • No, a requisition can only be sent back to the previous approver in the workflow. Once the requisition has reached the originator, they will be able to delete or resubmit if required.

  • You can shortlist candidates with the help of talent pipeline statuses. When candidates apply, they will show up under New Application status. As you review candidates, those who meet minimum qualifications can be moved to Review for further consideration. Candidates may also be moved straight to any other status such as the Interview/ Not for Interview (within Review status) if further review is not needed. Note that moving candidates to statuses such as New Application, Unsuccessful, Automatic Disqualified will trigger automated email to the candidates.

    Once you have identified the candidate to be hired, move him/her to the Successful Candidate status. This will trigger an automated email to HR to start the pre-employment process. Finally, once HR initiates the onboarding process for the candidate you will receive an email notification to move all other candidates to the Unsuccessful status.

  • The number displayed on talent pipeline statuses shows the no. of candidates within those statuses. Click on a status to view the candidates within that status. You can also click on the View all candidates link at the top right corner of the screen above the talent pipeline status bar to view all candidates.
